Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
Over the years, The Original McKenzie Lumbar Rolls have literally helped hundreds of thousands achieve freedom from common low back pain. An adjustable elastic strap lets users secure the roll to standard chair backs and auto seats. Proven quality! An independent laboratory compared the high quality McKenzie Lumbar Rolls, by OPTP, with competitive products and found '...the OPTP Lumbar Roll is more supportive, will not lose its supportive qualities as quickly, and will offer more consistent support longer than the other rolls sampled.' An independent laboratory confirmed the superiority of The Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll in a blind random analysis with test rolls from our largest competitors. While the foam used in a competitor's lumbar roll suffered immediate and continued structural breakdown, OPTP's roll suffered no structural breakdown and remained consistent through the test period. The lab's conclusion: '...the OPTP lumbar roll is more supportive, will not lose its supportive qualities as quickly, and will offer more consistent support longer than the other rolls sampled...'

Buyer Reviews
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Low Back Pain Relief
The McKenzie lumbar roll provides instant relief from lower back pain while sitting. The roll provides firm support in the lumbar region keeping the back in a more upright and proper position. The roll discourages slumping and poor posture.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - BEST USE for THIS PRODUCT
I use this product in a completely different way: length-wise along the spine for heavenly relief. Place the roll on the floor or a firm mattress and align your spine along the roll. Better than a professional massage. I take a 15 minute rest twice a day and hate to get up ! Your shoulder blades fall to each side in a perfect alignment. Try it, you'll like it. I am searching for 16-18" which would be even more effective.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lumbar roll
Great product- recommended after neck surgery to keep you sitting straight- works great and relieves neck strain. I love it!

Customer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Lumbar roll
The Lumbar roll is a good product however I ordered a firm one and it is way too hard. It's difficult to adjust the roll to your lumbar area because it's so hard.
I would not order firm but the middle density.

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.
