The limitation of this low cost foil is its Chinese blade, which over time can bend toward the end and make it harder to direct to target. A serviceable foil for beginners. The guard is thinner (will dent/bend easily), but here is part of an overall lowest possible price package. The result of a better blade is that the foil maintains its balance and feels so that anytime you pick it up, your hand recognizes it. You can depend on it without a second thought or doubt.
